T’ai Chi Ch’uan Classes in Austin


T’ai Chi Ch’uan:

This ancient Chinese martial art form is designed to enhance the body, mind, and spirit.  This exercise form promotes health, fitness, and longevity.  By practicing the sequence of movements, students can develop strength and coordination, while reducing stress and increasing mental focus.   T’ai Chi Ch’uan is beneficial as a supplement to other athletic activities and therapeutic for recovering from physical injuries.  This is excellent exercise for all ages and fitness levels.

About Instructors Marjorie Jackson and Danny Boone

Marjorie Jackson (aka Margie) and her husband, Danny Boone, teach T’ai Chi Ch’uan/Chi Kung and Hatha Yoga classes at five locations around Austin.  Their teaching style is relaxed, yet enthusiastic and lends to an enjoyable classroom experience.  

Marjorie and Danny studied and developed their T’ai Chi Ch’uan skills in Los Angeles at the internationally acclaimed Tai Chi Academy of Master Kai Ying Tung.  Both trained for over 10 years with Master Kai Ying Tung.  Marjorie has been teaching Tai Chi & Hatha Yoga for over 20 years.

Class Information

Tai Chi
Rates are generally $10/class, first class is free. New Tai Chi classes start the 1st week of each month. You can begin the William Cannon class at anytime. Classes are generally 1 hour long. Please call us before coming to your first class.

Yoga
Rates are generally $10/class, first class is free. You can begin Yoga classes at any time. Bring a mat. Classes are generally 1 hour long. Please call for more information on rates and locations.
